Showtimers Community Theatre is pleased to present A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder with book and lyrics by Robert L. Freedman and music and lyrics by Steven Lutvak. Based on a novel by Roy Horniman.
At the turn of the twentieth century, impoverished young Englishman Monty Navarro is down on luck. His mother just died, he doesn’t have a dime to his name, and the girl he loves is about to marry someone else. When a mysterious stranger appears, revealing dark family secrets, Monty learns he’s ninth in line to a lavish earldom. How far is Monty willing to go to gain power, wealth, and the woman he loves?
Directed by Christa Woomer and music directed by Heather Brand, the production is supported by Stage Manager Ashleigh Benois, Producer Kris Sorensen, and Choreographer Jessie Allen, along with the collaboration of the production team including Raynelle Lankford and Jane Neighbors (costume design), Denise Pappas (properties design), Miriam Frazier (lighting), Bob Scott (sound), and Cole Schraitle (set design).
Is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).
